The book compares the Chinese, German and European Regulations and Practice of E-commerce legislation.

 

The book explores the institutional dimension of consumer protection in prudential supervision in Germany, Italy, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the EU. Kai Purnhagen investigated the systems in the UK and, jointly with Paul Verbruggen, in the EU.

The book explores the law and practice of the regulations on access of consumers to information in Europe and the USA. Kai Purnhagen contributed the analysis of the legal framework of the USA and, jointly with Anja Böhnlein, the system in the UK. In addition, he worked on a part of the EU study. The study has been prepared by order of the Austrian government and also served as the basis for the analysis of possible ideas for reform of German information law (See BT Drucksache 17/1800, p. 3.
